🔀Utah Right-of-Way Practice Test
Who goes first at intersections, crosswalks, and more. These are real Utah-specific questions with Utah Code references, not generic national test-prep content.
Question 1 of 5
You arrive at an uncontrolled intersection (no signs or signals) at the same time as another vehicle. Who has the right-of-way?
- The vehicle on the left
- ✓ The vehicle on the right
- The larger vehicle
- Whichever vehicle is going faster
At an uncontrolled intersection where two vehicles arrive at the same time, the driver on the left must yield to the driver on the right.

Question 2 of 5
When entering a roundabout, you must:
- Stop and wait for a green light
- ✓ Yield to traffic already in the roundabout
- Enter quickly without stopping
- Honk to signal your entry
When approaching a roundabout, yield to traffic already circulating (counterclockwise). Enter when safe. Utah has been aggressively building roundabouts, making this a high-priority test topic.

Question 3 of 5
When two vehicles arrive at a four-way stop at the same time from perpendicular directions, who goes first?
- The vehicle going straight
- ✓ The vehicle on the right
- The vehicle on the left
- The vehicle that honks first
At a four-way stop, when vehicles arrive simultaneously, yield to the vehicle on your right. This is the same rule as uncontrolled intersections.
Utah Code 41-6a-901
Memory Trick
Right is right! Always yield to the RIGHT.
Question 4 of 5
When must you yield to pedestrians at an intersection?
- Only when they are in a marked crosswalk
- Only when they have a walk signal
- ✓ When they are in any crosswalk, marked or unmarked
- Only when they are on your side of the road
Every intersection has a crosswalk, even without painted lines. Drivers must yield to pedestrians in all crosswalks, whether marked or unmarked.
Utah Code 41-6a-1002
Memory Trick
Marked or not, the crosswalk is HOT. Always yield to pedestrians.
Question 5 of 5
You are turning left at an intersection with a green light (no arrow). Who must you yield to?
- No one, since a green light means you can go immediately
- Only pedestrians in the crosswalk
- ✓ Oncoming traffic and pedestrians in the crosswalk
- Only vehicles turning right from the opposite direction
A solid green light allows you to turn left, but you do not have the right-of-way. Yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians before turning.
